Disregarding the semantics about democracy, freedom of speech, rules of law, etc, etc, there’s one fundamental difference between Chinese government and the more ‘enlightened’ western democratic government, and this difference is what makes the Chinese government ‘bad’. What's worse, the rich in the West wouldn't want drastic political change in China. They profit from the Chinese people having no rights and no say in their own government. So in the name of economic stability, the world would probably support the Chinese Communist Party against its own people, even while limply criticizing abuses and atrocities. read more
