What pain/problems do you get after scoliosis surgery?

I had my scoliosis operation almost 3 years now, i had an S curve at about 56• on the top and i cant remember the bottom curve, therefore i have a metal rod on the whole of my spine. After surgery i find that although i can stand/sit for much longer due to pain, i have a lot more problems and pain than before! read more

The biggest problem I have experienced since my operation is shoulder pain, and random shooting pains that last for 1–3 minutes. My surgeon explained to me that the shoulder pain is from the muscle becoming used to the hardware, and the random bouts of shooting pain is from the nerves healing. read more

After that, everything went downhill.I have Osteoporosis now. Last summer, it was at 82. No one in my town would do the surgery and had to go about 100 miles for a doctor. I had breathing problems and not alot of energy after surgery in Oct 2009. Just started P/T and doing better but still not breathing great. Im taking pain meds and use a inhaler. read more

I have no idea how much pain you are in, but I have only one 80% crushed thoracic vertebrae through trauma, no operation and have tried all the treatments you have , was misdiagnosed for 8 years and it was agony to the point of giving up my job.. read more
