Salvador Dali is the author of the book 50 Secrets of Magic Craftsmanship in which he details much about his painting practice, including a list of the pigments he used. I read it some time ago, but remember being particularly struck by how he described layering two specific yellow pigments to get the most vibrant yellow possible. read more
