Bipolar is also common in alcoholics from what I understand. It’s easy to say “most alcoholics are narcissistic” if you’re using a very vague, generic definition of the word. If one were to suggest that most alcoholics suffer from pathological narcissism/NPD, that would be ignorant and factually incorrect. read more
Narcissistic personality disorder also will make a person have an intense preoccupation with their appearance and image but little regard for the inner reality of their selfishness. In many cases, they will be reckless and have little concern for the effect of their behavior on others. read more
Oh yes indeed. Also extremely dangerous. Alcohol lowers your inhibitions. Because a narcissist has no empathy, adding alcohol creates someone with no concern for others and nothing to stop them.
