The zymox Otic you use when the dog has an infection. Do not clean the dogs ear prior to using it. I would follow the instructions and use a bit longer if the dog's infection is chronic. The virbac ear cleaner I have never used but I imagine once the ear is healthy you could use this or the zymox ear cleaner to maintain a healthy ear. read more
