It shares some similarities with both Kilauea and Mount St. Helens but also has some significant differences. Like Kilauea current eruption, the vent was a lava lake that produced some lava flows. There are two volcanoes called Erebus. One is in the Kerguelen Islands (49.58°S, 69.5°E) It isn’t active - so no lava at all erupts from it. read more
