What were your impressions of visiting Brunei?

I visited Brunei last July. Although statistics say that Brunei is a rich country, the local residents were not that rich. Broken pavement and old fashioned second hand Japanese cars can be easily seen on the street. read more

We were driven to the Ferry terminal and were met by a couple – Brunei local and his Chinese girlfriend. What stood out was he was in sort of combat shorts and sensible trekking sandals and she was in a very short red dress and white flip flops and plastic bag with some crisps and a canned drink. read more

We went to school for only half a day, it never rained, I spent almost every day doing leisure activities in social clubs (reading, sports, snooker, swimming etc.) and weekends were spent motorboating, water skiing or windsurfing. read more
