Contrary to the other answers, it is not true that the entire universe would set on fire. For the same reason that you don't set the entire atmosphere on fire whenever you strike a match - there's just not enough fuel for that to happen. You can only burn when you have oxygen and fuel. if you tried to breathe in outer space you would already be dead before you tried, but assuming you could live long enough to try to breath you would die because there is nothing there to breathe and more than that all the oxygen in your body would be"sucked out". it has to do with dispersion. basically you'd be dead. read more
