Unless we're talking about slavery, foregoing child labor means that a family foregoes income.(slavery provides no income, so nothing to forego). In parts of the world where child labor is going on, foregoing that income often means foregoing needed food, healthcare, rent, etc. I really wish this wasn't a fact of life. read more
