Caffeine (main active ingredient in energy drinks) IS in the stimulant drug class with Adderall, but are quite different in terms of effects. Even though they both inhibit the reuptake of dopamine, serotonin, norepinephrine, and glutamate, Adderall does more so than caffeine (mainly for dopamine and serotonin). read more
