There are many Americans living in Phuket and Thailand. As far as I know they also have some privileges when it comes to open up a company or business. Of course cost of living is very low comparing back home but that’s the case for many other nationalities. read more

Really,, Thailand is a good place to live, but please be willing to learn the language, customs and adapt a little. Life will be much easier if you can integrate a little and understand the ways, understand why the Thai do what they do. read more

Affordable living-- Phuket isn't as cheap as Bangkok or the towns in the north, but it's still really cheap compared to American standards. We lived comfortably on $80 per day for our family of four, including our children's schooling costs. read more
