Leon is not perfect but it has so many great moments that all its flaws can be forgiven. It's a movie that really should not be missed, unless you are concerned with its amorality. And don't be - Leon is less violent than many action movies and the unusual relationship between the main characters is handled mostly with genuine feeling and tact. read more

Both Mathilda and the plant will grow roots in this place, watched over by Leon. Also the plant (being a plant) has no sensations, no feelings, cannot move, cannot make a sound—contrary to a dog, for instance. In that sense it might represent Leon's dim-wittiness. read more
