This time I was able to watch it as a story based on Jane Eyre, rather than an actual version of Jane Eyre, and was therefore able to appreciate it for what it is. read more
In the 2006 one, Ruth Wilson plays the best, most-thorough Jane Eyre I’ve ever seen. She’s emotional, strong, passionate, and all covered under a smoke-screen. She was able to portray a powerful character within an unassuming shell better than anyone. read more
