The AW is the gap wedge, which is the wedge in between your pitching wedge and sand wedge. Just like the 7 iron is between the 6 and 8 iron. AW, means either attack or approach wedge or gap wedge and has (no standard in golf) 49 to 53 degrees of loft. read more

All of them are different lofts. PW is between 46-49 degrees. AW is between 50-53 degrees. SW is between 54-58 degrees. LW is between 60-64 degrees. Of course different manufacturers have different lofts on their equipment, but those are the lofts of each I've seen. read more
