Mendel experimented with heredity, and crossing varieties of peas. Darwin proposed a theory to explain the physical mechanism of change in species over time. read more
Mendel died relatively unknown and his work wasn't appreciated until years after his death. Mendel actually taught science and Darwin did pure research. By the time of their deaths, it can be assumed that they had very different religious outlooks. read more
