Easiest way to compost I found so far: place compostable items in a large unglazed clay plant pot and invert it over a bare patch of earth in a garden. The key is to have the compostable items make contact with the bare soil. No mixing or turning required at all. Just let it sit for a week or so. I propose the simplest compost system out there: Dedicate a portion of you lawn (or a large bin) to be your compost area. Then, whenever you get yard waste of kitchen scraps, put them there. read more
