What's wrong with the show 'Friends'?

If you're a millennial, you probably binge-watched Friends growing up (or later on via Netflix). Perhaps it was a sign of the times or a lack of self-awareness on the part of the writers, but many of the storylines, situations and characters on Friends were problematic. read more

ETA: If memory serves me correctly, Friends was found in one study to be the most unrealistic show ever produced, in terms of the disconnect between their supposed incomes and their lifestyle. That was a feature of most shows, save for dystopian sitcoms like Rosanne and The Middle, but Friends was a particularly unrealistic example. read more
