While there are certainly core areas of the Sahara, mostly near Egypt and Sudan, where most likely several years pass between rains, most of the Sahara does get some rain every year. Northern parts even get snow once in a while. Like this winter! A truly rainless desert is the Atacama of Northern Chile. read more
