When did the Knights Templar land in North America?

The official Templars did not exist in that time period, except in conspiracy theories or according to some secret societies. No documentation of the original Order of the Knights Templars in North America exists. It is an interesting idea, but I have yet to know of any actual truth to any claims to this. The land was transmitted to the Knights Hospitaller after the Templar order was illegally dissolved by the Pope. Many Templars simply joined the Hospitallers or other Orders (like the Teutonic Knights), or left France. read more
