Where I hunt you are required to wear blaze orange over half or more of your body while deer hunting. Some orange coats come with a black camo pattern on the orange background, but mine is just solid orange. read more
This doesn’t mean that camouflage for deer and ungulate hunting is a waste. In fact, I think camo can be helpful for deer hunting even though it’s not necessary. For example, when hunting with a bow — especially when spot and stalk hunting — good camo can help cover up for certain newbie mistakes like getting caught out in the open. read more
