That is a tough question to answer. In theory it is probably never too old. However usually singers are grinding for years and picking up little gigs to build their fan base. Singers who are trying to become famous also spend a lot of years just trying to get a record deal. read more
A great singer is a great singer, regardless of age. Unlike a lot of the pop scene, the jazz genre that I like seems much more tolerant of a wider performer age range of vocalists--from teenagers to septuagenarians--if they are good. If you've got the chops, it's never too late. read more
