Canada goose has been moved from Schedule 1 to Schedule 5 of the Wildlife Act. This means the species is no longer managed by fish and game councils but is now “not protected” (note this does not mean “pest”). Anyone can hunt or kill geese at any time of year without a need for a game licence. read more

I don't think the Canada Goose is or has ever been on the Endangered Species List. At least not on the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service Endangered Species List. Now the Aleutian Canada Goose was on the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service ESL from 67 through 03/2001 but has been removed from the list because they are recovered. read more
