When will Mangalore become a part of Kerala?

I wonder why you need Kasargod to be part of Karnataka, then why can't Mangalore be part of Kerala (a majority of Keralite people are there). Kasargod was part of Kumbala kingdom where Tulu and Malayalam were equally prevalent (no kannada). Later after Vijayanagara kingdom, Hyder Ali tried to capture Kerala by attacking Kasargod (and failed). read more
