Navy SEALs are stationed at two different bases. SEAL Teams 1, 3, 5, and 7 as well as the Naval Special Warfare Center, the central command of SEALs, are located at NAB Coronado in California, and SEAL teams 2, 4, 8 and 10 are based at NAB Little Creek in Virginia. read more
Each SEAL Team is commanded by a Navy Commander (O-5), and has a number of operational SEAL platoons and a headquarters element. A SEAL Team has a Staff Headquarters element and three 40-man Troops. read more
Virginia Beach, home to Naval Special Warfare Group 2 and its SEAL Teams 2, 4, 10 and 18. SEAL Team Eighteen, a Reserve unit, and Naval Special Warfare Group 4 are also located at Little Creek. Group 4 is responsible for all of NSW’s special boat teams. read more
