Raccoon dogs are not the same animal as the North American raccoon. Raccoon dogs are native to East Asia and are a primitive form of canid. Again, these are an invasive species to Europe. They are wild animals, can never be housebroken and are not particularly friendly to people. They bite. They have to be housed outside. read more
Unbeknownst to them, raccoons can be great pets since they are curious, mischievous, and most often plain old fun to watch and be around. The trouble, to begin with, is that in many areas of the country, they are illegal to have as pets. read more
