MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Ocean Boulevard has been outfitted with public restrooms. The doors opened on Wednesday. The set of stalls is the first permanent public restroom for the city of Myrtle Beach. The budget for the project was around $220,000. The restrooms are a necessity because so many people walk the boardwalk in the summer. read more

The restrooms are in the alley between Ocean Boulevard and Withers Alley in downtown Myrtle Beach and between 10th and 12th avenues North, also known as CanAm Alley. DRC chairman Chuck Martino has said the restrooms will benefit both tourists and residents who expect to find public facilities when they visit the downtown area. read more
