Depends on what you mean by"Ancient Greeks". The traditional idea is that the Greeks descend from a Mycenaean substrate and a Dorian superstrate, after the Dorians migrated from the north. The Phrygians who lived in Anatolia, however, did have a language closely related to the Greeks--but they came from what we'd call Thrace. read more
