Where do alligators go when they die?

Alligator Heaven, unless they were an Alligator Heathen. Silly, they just either sink to the bottom of the swamp, and decompose, or they are eaten by other animals. Or hunted by humans, and turned into fritters and belts. read more

A gar is a fish, and as such they are mobile and snatch what they can eat and run. If you're talking about a 300 pounder or in ancient times a 600 pound 15 footer, you had better bet they can eat a 6 foot gator. Gars and gators have lived together for millions of years. Crocodiles have no such thing as old age. A 7-year-old crocodile is as good as a 70-year-old one in terms of agility and other life parameters. Aging has no effect on them. Although they can't die of natural aging, they also can't live forever. read more
