Where do silverback gorillas live?

Western lowland gorillas are found in Nigeria, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, the Republic of Congo, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Angola. They are also found in the Central African Republic. Both Eastern lowland and mountain gorillas live in the DRC, Rwanda and Uganda. read more

Gorillas are mainly herbivores that feast on a variety of roots, plants, herbs, fruit, bamboo, tree bark and occasionally, insects. Adults can easily eat up to 66 pounds (30 Kg) of food per day. Gorillas in the wild can live from 40-50 years and slightly longer in captivity. read more
