According to some accounts, one of the inhabitants of Pre-Cataclysmic Atlantis was a woman called Cleito, the daughter of Evenor. Cleito mated with Poseidon and give birth to five sets of twins, who ruled the ten provinces of Atlantis. Marvel Comics. Marvel's version of Atlantis first appeared in Motion Picture Funnies Weekly #1, in April 1939 , but it wasn't named Atlantis until April 1949 issue of Sub-Mariner Comics Vol 1 #31. In the Marvel universe, Atlantis is a the city under the sea ruled by Namor, the Sub-Mariner. read more
