Where is the best place to live in Hanoi?

I'm an Irish guy moving to Hanoi for work. I've been to Hanoi before, but only as a tourist. Does anyone have any suggestions of where's a good place to live (or where's NOT a good area)? read more

in my opinion, the best part of Hanoi to live in is Hanoi Old Quater. Hanoi Old Quarter definitely has several interesting cultural place for you to visit, even just spending time walking around the Quater. read more

Vinhomes, Times city, etc. are also new urban developments. All these places are far from the city centre, perfect if you are rich and either want to find a nice place to retire/raise a posh family or just want to invest. Renting in these places is idiotic unless you are using that space for business. read more
