Where should you go for engineering in Indiana: IU or Purdue?

Clearly you would go to Purdue. Something like one out of ten engineers in the US had degrees from Purdue at one time and Purdue is very highly rated on almost all rankings of engineering schools. IU is where you go for liberal arts, music, law, and many other things, but certainly not engineering. read more

If you want to do more hardware components though, you'll have to go to Purdue. Strict programming, probably better to go to IU based upon costs. P.S. hconghoops, IU has no Engineering by state statute. Purdue is the only state university that is allowed to have engineering. read more
