Which city is colder during winter: Seattle or Chicago?

I've lived in the burbs of Seattle for 7 years now. I also visited Chicago quite a few times in the winter while living to the north in Wisconsin, before moving out West. There is no comparison. Seattle is tropical compared to Chicago. Seattle shuts down after a few inches of snow which, luckily, is rare. It rarely drops below 20 F. read more

Chicago and the rest of the midwest experience significantly harsher weather than Seattle. Winters in Chicago and the midwest are significantly colder (15-20 degrees) during the winter and hotter in the summer. read more
