Sorry to all Tucson residents (really, I don't hate you), but I would go for Phoenix over Tucson every time. The Valley of the Sun just has more to offer. It's a conglomeration of 6+ cities and each city has it's advantages and disadvantages. read more

When it comes to the variety of activities and job employment opportunities Phoenix wins hands down. However, Tucson offers better weather and food. The weather is not as hot as Phoenix due to its higher altitude and the local cuisine is amazing. Also, the mountain surrounding the city is beautiful as well. read more

Tucson is a big city that tries to act like a small town. Many businesses are closed by 8pm or 9pm, the roads are narrow and rough, and some people think they know everyone in"town". I grew up in Phoenix. read more

If you were to take two similar main roads, one from Phoenix and one from Tucson, you would drive about 60 MPH on the Phoenix one, and about 35 MPH on the Tucson one. People in Phoenix have a heavy lead foot - similar to California. read more
