Shark attacks in Hawaii are exceedingly rare. In the last 184 years there have been only 116 confirmed unprovoked attacks (Map of Hawaii's Confirmed Unprovoked Shark Attacks) among all islands. Consider Florida had 663 in the same time frame. Lanai has the fewest, but per capita, O'ahu has the fewest by far. read more
