Agave is not really a healthy substitute. Gram for gram, agave is worse than table sugar. It's even worse than high fructose corn syrup. Agave is about 1.5x sweeter than table sugar, so you may need to add less of it to your creations to make them sweet. So any health benefits would come simply because you used less of it. read more
