Which is the nicer tasting chocolate, Cadbury's or Hershey's?

Cadbury's. I tried Hershey's, once. The initial taste wasn't too bad, but it's like what we over in the UK would call 'cheap chocolate'. It tastes like the stuff you get in advent calendars. The normal Cadbury chocolates are delicious and creamy while their Bournville series has the nice bitter taste of a good quality dark chocolate. Although I admit that I did try few Hershey chocolates like the Hugs, Bars, etc but their flavour was horrible. read more

Hershey's makes Cadbury chocolate using Cadbury "crumb" - a sandy-textured paste of powdered cocoa, milk and sugar - shipped from the other side of the Atlantic. It's hard to imagine there is much difference between the crumb that ends up in US-made Cadbury chocolate, which is produced in Ireland, from the crumb produced in Herefordshire for British-made Cadbury chocolate. read more
