Slinging insults may well be emotionally abusive and unacceptable, but physical abuse gets the attention of the police and the court system much faster. read more
That said, I’ll go with “just” emotional abuse as being worse than physical and emotional abuse together, because it’s subtler, harder to recognize, harder for others to see, harder to precisely define, harder to get help. read more
Having experienced, at different points in my previous relationship of over ten years, physical and/or psychological abuse, I think I havea solid basis for contrasting the two types of abuse. In my mind, the psychological abuse was always worse. read more
