Sure! Around this time of year, I would target: Orion Nebula in Orion, a stellar nursery only a few hundred light years away. Easily visible. Rosette Nebula in Monoceros. It is 5000 light years away, but appears as large as the full Moon. You will need good eyes and an exceptionally dark sky to see it. read more

Yes we can. Depending upon the clear sky (not hazy) and if the light pollution is low you can see nebula with the naked eye. In my personal experience i have seen Orion nebula, Pleiades (Maia nebula), Andromeda Galaxy, Many star clusters. I have also seen the dust clouds of our own milky way galaxy. read more

Granted, with small telescopes, it won’t look like this Hubble Space Telescope image, but The Great Nebula is even visible with the naked eye in the northern hemisphere, and looks pretty impressive in small telescope, too. read more
