Its what I decided to use to make the mirror. Cutting it into smaller sections can be difficult but scoring it with a glass cutter and tapping the line with a hammer will generally give you a good enough cut to make the piece small enough. read more
After a year of working with binoculars I a have decided to make a telescope. I start polishing my 6” Pyrex mirror tomorrow. When complete I plan to start a 12.5” using a 1.625” Pyrex blank. read more
