Bob Dylan is a legendary songwriter but the man is shockingly bad at singing. It is his status that allows him to get away with it (and he is not alone). I think Prince is easier on the ears and he is a great performer with talented backing singers that bring the vocals to his shows. read more
They sound as if they should be a gospel group, and they did sing some of that, but they mostly performed soul, blues and even country music. Alas, as of the writing of this column, Sherman is the only survivor. read more
