As an amateur magician of 30 yrs, I am going out on a limb to say that you can compare Houdini to Copperfield. I do agree with DV Harris when he says that Houdini did escapes and threw in some illusions and vice-versa with Copperfield. read more
Houdini was first, and foremost, an Escape Artist who did some illusions. Copperfield is an Illusionist who does some escapes. I imagine, to the general public, there is not much difference, but to magicians, there a vast difference. read more
