There I think it is clear that Peter Gabriel pushed the artistic line more while Phil Collins was drawn to mainstream pop. And so most will favor Gabriel in that comparison (as would I). But as singers, I think both were quite good with what they had - somewhat limited ranges but a sense of drama and theatricality that informed their performances (albeit in different ways). read more
