I watch both fairly regularly. Fox is about the same as RT (the Russian government “news” station). MSNBC is unabashedly liberal in its orientation/slant but I haven't caught it actually lying very often. read more

Yet Fox found its ideological mirror image in MSNBC. In the final stretch of the campaign, nearly half (46%) of Obama’s coverage on Fox was negative, while just 6% was positive in tone. By 2008, a typical Democrat was 20 percentage points more likely to watch MSNBC. In 2004, a Republican was only 11 points more likely than a Democrat to watch Fox. By 2008, the gap widened to more than 30 points. The authors also found that both Fox and MSNBC have real effects on people's likely votes. read more
