Coal and petroleum are produced by constant high pressure of earth’s crust and upper soil,this pressure acts upon the the fossils and residues of animals & plants over millions of years producing petroleum & coal deposits.Thus once mined/oil drilled they can never be used again,as the waiting period for formation of coal & petrol is very high compared to a human life thus coal & petroleum are called non-renewable. read more
