It is considerably easier to run a pirated version of a game on a PC than on a console. Given this, most console owners have little choice but to buy an official version of the game, whether it's a disc or download, and will need to do so at a higher price, often sullenly. read more
That explanation doesn't make sense, when for more than a decade new release games have been cheaper on the PC than consoles. These days there are fewer manufacturers of PC hardware than there used to be, so if it was a case of having to test for all the different chipsets then game prices should have been equal or more expensive on the PC 10 years go compared to the consoles of the day. read more
