Why are kids so disrespectful to teachers?

Some teachers don’t know how to deal with disrespectful kids. My German teacher in particular: She just didn’t know how to handle ‘bad’ students. Good teachers who know how to control thier students usually get more respect. Lack of disciplinary options. Students who disrespect teachers are, to put it mildly, extremely inconsiderate. This is not only to the teacher, but to other peers in the classroom. Students are at school to learn, not to hear their fellow classmate(s) talk smack to the teacher. read more

The student’s disrespect of the teacher is indefensible, as is the school’s disrespect of the student who, after asking for an explanation, cannot get a clear answer as to why he must participate in a certain activity, why he cannot walk the hallways without being made into an object of suspicion, and why he cannot study the subject matter of most interest to him. read more
