Why are most of the superheroes male?

Slowly overtime, more female superheroes began to appear and gain popularity, Wonder Woman being the most popular example of a female superhero. However, because the male superheroes like Superman and Batman existed years before and were much more widely recognizable and popular, they were constantly used and shown more than the female superheroes who only recently gained popularity. read more

Technically, heroes" are always male. "Heroines" are women. And the reason you hear about heroes more than heroines is back when women where generally thought of as inferior to men, nobody would believe a woman could save the world or anything. I don't condone it, by the way. read more
