Salted peanuts probably last longer than unsalted peanuts, so they have a longer shelf life and can be kept in the warehouses or on the shelves for a much longer time. This means that logistic costs can be minimized for salted peanuts (go for cheapest rather than fastest mode of transport, controlled storage conditions, etc..). read more
