Why are prisoners given free food but school kids don't?

Prisoners really cannot be expected to pay for their meals. They don't really have the option to go out and get a job and shop at a grocery store. I know prison labor exists, but it barely pays anything. read more

I personally think that schools should provide meals for free to children. But, there are a lot of people who worry about ‘freeloaders’ and a few dollars going to somebody “undeserving”. So, in the US we have a free and reduced lunch program for the impoverished as a compromise. read more

Yes, students should receive free lunch if prisoners get free lunch, because life is made too easy for prisoners in so many ways. Prison should be a place that people do not want to return. It should not be a place where a prisoner is treated better than an average student in a local publish school. read more
